OUR MISSION
The Rising Tide Initiative’s (RTI) mission is to DISCOVER, PROMOTE and CONSULT with environmentally and socially responsible organizations in order to facilitate sustainable economic development, job creation and the advancement of a healthy green economy. RTI is focused on unearthing the next generation of entrepreneurs who will ultimately create a sustainable future and enhance the quality of life for everyone.
The Rising Tide Initiative is inspired by the maritime saying, “A rising tide lifts all boats,” that was made famous by John F. Kennedy. Kennedy used this saying to express the idea that improvements in the general economy will benefit all participants in that economy. RTI takes this principal and applies it to the rising tide of socially and environmentally responsible businesses. These responsible businesses are focused on what is commonly referred to as the triple bottom line: people, planet and profit. A surge in responsible business models not only boosts a sustainable economy, but also increases community participation and preserves our natural resources, which ultimately creates a healthier planet. RTI believes that these small emerging companies are the key to raising the tide of prosperity and leading us to a clean and healthy green economy that will benefit everyone.
